Myofascial Release
Myofascial Release lengthens
and balances muscles and fascia. Fascia is one continuous,
multi-layered sheath of connective tissue that surrounds and
permeates every muscle, organ, nerve and bone to the cellular
level. In a healthy state, fascia is fluid and elastic. With
injury, stress or disease, fascia shortens and becomes thick
and hard. This restricts the function and comfort of the immediate
area, as well as areas considerable distances away. Fascia
softens and lengthens with treatment, relieving pain and restoring
flexibility throughout the body.
Craniosacral Therapy
Craniosacral Therapy releases
the fascia around the brain, spinal cord, and the bones of
the skull and spine. It restores the subtle movement of the
cranial bones and sacrum in balance with the craniosacral
rhythm, a gentle cycle of expansion and relaxation that supports
the central nervous system. This treatment often induces a
deeply meditative and relaxed state, reducing the harmful
effects of stress and relieving pressure in the head and spine.
Energy Balancing
Energy Balancing addresses the
energy systems of the body, such as chakras, acupressure points,
and meridians. Energy techniques restore the flow of the body’s
natural life energy by facilitating the release of energy
blocks. Repressed emotions, unconscious beliefs and/or thoughts
which no longer support one’s health create energy blockages
that can become physical restrictions or disease. Once energy
flow is restored, natural healing processes within the body
function with greater ease.
Session rates for adults:
When physical therapy is required for insurance coverage,
these rates increase. Some insurance does reimburse me for
treatment, but I am not a member of any HMO, nor do I accept
Medicare or Medical. I do offer a sliding scale for private
payments of cash, check or PayPal, and reduced rates for newborns
and infants.
